Annual Cajun Feast & Business Expo

The Chamber of Commerce's Annual Cajun Feast is a Chamber fundraiser that is well attended by Chamber members and other community residents. Last year, the Chamber added a Business Expo to the event, which went over well. Held every spring in downtown Benton, the event offers a sit-down or take-out meal of favorite Cajun fare such as red beans and rice, gumbo, and bread pudding. The Crawfish Eating Contest is always a big hit. This year there were two contests.  One was between the Benton Fire Department and the Benton Police Department with the winner being the Police Department.  The other contest had ten local politicians trying to win the crawfish trophy.  Landers of Saline County is the sponsor of the event.  For more information about the Cajun Feast, call the Benton Chamber at 501-315-8272.
